WELCOME
From the makers of Horlicks Quarter.
From the team behind The Horlicks Quarter, we’re proud to present our vision for the next chapter in Slough’s regeneration - a vibrant, sustainable, and connected town centre for everyone.
At Berkeley, our mission is to create exceptional places where people aspire to live, work, and thrive. Building on the success of The Horlicks Quarter, our goal is to deliver high-quality homes, beautiful public spaces, and a lasting positive impact on the wider community.
In June 2025, Berkeley acquired the Queensmere and Observatory Shopping Centres, where outline planning permission already exists for up to 1,600 homes on the Queensmere site.
We will be submitting a detailed planning application for Phase 1 in November 2025, and these boards showcase our emerging proposals.
Importantly, the Observatory Shopping Centre will remain open throughout this process, ensuring that local shops and businesses continue to serve the community while plans for the future take shape.
We believe strongly in Slough’s potential and
are excited to be leading the transformation of its town centre into a place that truly reflects its energy, diversity, and ambition.

YOUR SLOUGH
Keeping the
High Street alive...
We’re exploring ‘meanwhile uses’ to bring energy and activity to the high street during construction - from food and drink, to arts, culture, sport, and community events - ensuring the town centre stays lively and welcoming throughout its regeneration.

...and Creating Skills, Opportunities and Benefits
Over the next ten years, we’ll deliver around 8,000 new jobs and ensure at least 5% of our workforce are in training or apprenticeships through the 5% Club. In addition to the delivery of the project itself, we will invest £8.1 million into local amenities and infrastructure to contribute to Slough’s wider regeneration.
A tailored community plan from day one will make sure local people share in the benefits, with meanwhile uses and engagement helping to inform long-term designs, spaces, and events that strengthen skills, careers, and community connections across Slough.
